CCIDC EDUCATES CONSUMERS AND BUILDING OFFICIALS On behalf of all “Certified Interior Designers”, we spend considerable time in outreach endeavors to both consumers and building officials.
We often supply lists of CIDs by geographic location to consumers who call and want a design professional for their project. We regularly attend and have a booth at CALBO events.
We publish marketing
tools, help consumers with complaints dealing with unscrupulous designers (mainly non certified) and when CIDs need a little help in building department matters, we are just a phone call away.
If you are a self-employed CID please use our free marketing tools to convey to your clients your level of professionalism, as there is no higher level in California for interior designers than to be Certified and
recognized in California law (Business & Professions Code 5800-5812).
If you are a CID and interviewing for a job, be sure to tell your prospective employer about your Certification status. You have
education, experience and exam credentials which makes you an excellent choice for hiring.

IDEX® CALIFORNIA PRESENTATIONS
for schools, large design or architectural firms and design associations
CCIDC would like to come to your school,
design firm or chapter meeting to discuss certification for interior designers. Certification is the most important and only legally recognized credential in California. For free, we will provide an educational
presentation on Certification and “how to” become a Certified Interior Designer.
We will cover the history of Certification, what it takes to become a Certified Interior Designer, and why it is important to
a designer’s career. The presentation can be done in as little as one hour, although one and a half hours is preferable in order to allow enough time for Q&A. We can also add to this presentation
a seminar on “Ethics and Business Practices” at the same time. Some of this material is also relevant to the IDEX California® examination. There are no costs to participants and in the case of those
who are already CIDs, they will receive CEU credit towards their continuing certification requirements.
Please contact CCIDC if you would like to schedule a presentation, or would like to know more about it.
