List of Expired Certified Interior Designers In our May issue of eNews, we announced that all CIDs who have not renewed their Certification in 2005 and 2006 would be marked permanently
"Expired" in the CCIDC office and web site database on June 1, 2007, and would be required to reapply for Certification and take the CCRE to be reinstated later on.
Listed below are Certified
Interior Designers who were required to renew in 2005 have now expired and have been designated as “expired” in the CCIDC Web database.
Expired by accident?
If your name is on this list and you wish to reactivate your Certification, please click here or call the CCIDC office at (760) 761-4734 or e-mail us today
Inactive but behind in your fees? If you previously qualified for "Inactive Status" because you are now residing out of
state, retired, or unemployed, and have not kept up with your inactive fees, please pay your fees today. If you do not keep your “Inactive Status” current, your Certification will expire and you will be required to
reapply for Certification and take the CCRE.
Note: If anyone reading this recognizes any of the expired CIDs below, we would appreciate your sending us any contact information you have on them - OR - ask the designer to please contact CCIDC as soon as possible.
It is a misdemeanor under Section 5800 (Certified Interior Designers Law), and Section 17200 (Unfair Business Practices Act), of the California Business and Professions Code to call yourself a
"Certified Interior Designer" or use the appellation "CID" if you are not one, or are not current with your Certification fees. To make sure you are current, please check your stamp or I.D.
card. You can also look yourself up on the CCIDC web site under "Verify a CIDs status".
