The California Council for Interior Design Certification (CCIDC) consists of an
11-member Board of Directors, Chief Administrator and Staff.

President Robert E. Wright is a Public Member of the CCIDC Board. As a top
financial executive with over 35 years experience, he is a former Vice President for Unocal Corporation where he established and managed Unocal's Investor Relations Department. He was also Unocal's
Assistant Corporate Comptroller, a Divison Comptroller, Manager of Information Services, and an Accounting Supervisor. With a BA in Finance from University of Texas, he also served as Chairman of the

Vice-President Zara Stender
is a Certified Interior Designer and the IDS Member of the CCIDC Board. She studied art and design at the Atlanta School of Art and UCLA, and earned her interior design degree from Canada College in the Bay Area. An award-winning designer, Zara’s columns and articles have been published in many publications, and she often lectures on trends in color and interior design.

Secretary Richard Galitz, M.D. is a Public Member of the CCIDC Board. He
started his career as a Control Systems Engineer engaged in modeling control systems through computer firms in the aerospace field. In 1972 he was a researcher at the UCLA Department of Physiology in
conjunction with the Department of Engineering conducting research into modeling the contractile components of blood vessel walls in completion of his Masters of Science degree. He completed Medical
School at UCLA in 1979. From July 1979 until June 1983 he completeted his intern residency at the Kaiser Foundation Hospital and went on to work at OBGYN Affiliates where he is a partner. He is a
Diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Director Claudia Andreason is a Certified Interior Designer and the
ASID Member of the CCIDC Board. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art and Architecture from Stanford University and has been practicing interior design for 40 years.
She is principal of her own firm now headquartered in Woodbridge, California. Ms. Andreasen has been a professional member of AID cum ASID since 1974. Her practice presently includes fine art and residential interior design.

Director John Searles is a Public Member of the CCIDC Board. John has over
40 years in public education. He served in Palos Verdes as teacher, vice principal, and elementary and middle school principal. In Salinas he was assistant superintendent of Personnel and
then in Martinez 9 years as superintendent. John retired in June 1993 from Alameda after completing 10 years as superintendent . Since that time he has worked for the Association of California

Director Marie Kimble Cooley is a Certified Interior Designer and the IDEC
Member of the CCIDC Board. She is an educator and interior design professional for over 20 years. She is currently Professor/Department Chair in the Interior Planning and Design Department of American

Director Deborah Ogden is a Certified Interior Designer and the IFDA Member
of the CCIDC Board. A native of Portland, Oregon, she received her BA from Brigham Young University, and has 22 years of design-industry experience. She has been the principal for Ogden

Director David Wagner is a Certified Interior Designer and the *Independent
